Starlink Rental Questions

Will Starlink work at my venue?

Starlink needs a clear view of the sky — ideally pointing north with no large trees, buildings, or roof overhangs blocking the dish's field of view. The Starlink app has a built-in obstruction tool we can run during your site visit. In dense forest or downtown alleys with tall buildings on all sides, performance can degrade. We'll flag any concerns during booking.

What speeds should I expect?

On the Roam plan with a clear sky, expect 100–200 Mbps download, 10–20 Mbps upload, and 25–50 ms latency. That's enough for Zoom calls, 4K video streaming, simultaneous DJ streaming + guest WiFi, livestream rigs, and credit-card payment terminals all running at the same time.

How long does setup take?

About 5 minutes once you place the dish. The Standard Actuated dish is self-aligning — you set it down with a clear view of the sky, plug in power, and it tilts itself to find the satellites. The router broadcasts WiFi within ~30 seconds of connecting. We deliver it pre-configured and walk through setup with your crew on-site.

How does Starlink pair with the EcoFlow power stations?

Starlink draws roughly 50–75 W continuous (peaks at ~150 W in cold weather when the dish melts snow). On a 2048 Wh Delta 3 Max that's about 25–30 hours of continuous Starlink, or roughly 8 hours of Starlink + lighting + DJ at a typical reception load. Most events power Starlink through the EcoFlow's USB-C or AC outlet — book them together for fully off-grid event connectivity.

What's the rental minimum?

Two-day weekend is the minimum (Friday delivery, Sunday pickup) — same minimum as our power station rentals so weekend events can book the kits together. For longer activations (festivals, week-long film shoots, multi-day production), we offer a weekly (5–7 day) rate that works out cheaper per day.

What's your cancellation policy?

We offer a 125% cancellation guarantee: if we ever cancel on you for any reason, we return 125% of every dollar paid. For client-initiated cancellations, your deposit is held as a credit toward a rescheduled date. See our full terms at checkout.
